The Zero W, which is the New Raspberry Pi has an 802.11n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It also has high-tech camera enhancements that were not on the original Zero. The new Zero makes a better computer because you most likely will not need a hub if you’re connected through Bluetooth.
We imagine you’ll find all sorts of uses for Zero W,” said co-founder Eben Upton. “It makes a better general-purpose computer because you’re less likely to need a hub: if you’re using Bluetooth peripherals you might well end up with nothing at all plugged into the USB port. And of course, it’s a great platform for experimenting with IoT applications.”
There was an official injection-moulded case created collectively by Raspberry Pi, Kinneir Dufort and T-Zero. The case includes three interchangeable lids, which can be blank, with GPIO access aperture, with camera aperture and mount.
There is also a number new of Zero distributors such as ModMyPi in the UK, PI3G IN Germany, Samm Teknoloji in Turkey, Kubii in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Kiwi Electronics in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
