TT Electronics Increases Size of Chip Resistor for Optimal Performance

Chip resistor maker TT Electronics has been able build a much larger and more potent metal foil chip resistor. This new innovative chip resistor will be equipped with a larger base and will take form of a newly configured a 2817 size. The size will allow for premium performance and will be able to release up to 3W in power. The increased size will allow for larger current to extracted and therefore suitable to other components with limited size such as leading medical and industrial applications.

The chip takes form as a silver rectangular object with “R010” printed in the middle. Having been coated with metal lining on either side of the shorter side of the rectangles.

The added enlargements of the resistors not only increase the DC/DC conversions and power supply.
