Solenoid Control Systems is for endurance and cycling testing for electro-mechanical components to include Industrial motors, actuators, electromagnets, and relays. These tests are vital to the testing process to make sure components are working properly. The announcement of Optimal Engineering’s seven new Solenoid Control Modules aims to make Solenoid Modules to fit many different applications. Standard features of the modules are they are microcomputer focused, high output, and include a flyback diode in each unit. The ability to use these Solenoids in focused roles make for extreme value to the user.
Cambridge Electronic Industries, a well-known connector manufacturer specializing in coaxial connectors and cable assemblies in the broadcast and machine vision markets, recently launched a line of high-speed Micro BNC connectors. These connectors will be used for small cameras and instruments. The following higher resolution formats will also be implemented when higher density is required: 12G-SDI, 4K, High Dynamic Range, and Ultra High Definition.
Many users have experienced the unfortunate event of having their SiC MOSFETs over heat due to high voltages and switching of the voltages. Many of the SiC MOSFETs have been worn down due to isolation barriers. Due to unfortunate events such as these the Electronic Company RECOM, they have created a new way to not only save the unit but increase its longevity when continuously switching the voltage. RECOM released a 2W DC/DC converter family that is specifically designed for the newest SiC MOSFETs editions. The RxxP21503D has become a key part for the SiC MOSFETs when turning the voltages on and off which is one of the SiCs most common characteristics.
loTUK Boost, a government funded programme has begun to take place in the United Kingdom. Digital Catapult is the company in charge of the entire production and has chosen Cambridge Wireless thee company to put it in to play. Beside the leading company, Cambridge there are partners located from Bristol to Yorkshire in the UK. This government ran project has been implemented in hopes of supporting the “SMEs developing internet of things (LoT) enabled services and applications using a LoRa wireless network in Cambridge.”
Seoul Semiconductor is launching their Wicop LED reference designs by offering module solutions that will allow their customers to realize their solutions much faster than by just using LED components. CEO of Seoul Semiconductor Europe, Andreas Weisl believes that their module solutions also will benefit their customers by letting them evaluate the technology quickly in order to reap the benefits almost instantaneously.
A first for Japanese electronics giant Panasonic, the company has progressed the global headquarters for its cooling compressor business to Singapore. Minister for Manpower Lim Swee Say publicized the company's first relocation freestanding of Japan in current decades yesterday at the official opening of Panasonic's refrigeration compressor business unit (RCBU) in Singapore. The engineering plant here, which makes refrigeration compressors, will also be altered from a conventional engineering plant into a "smart factory", which will make use of big data and make procedures more systematized.
The Zero W, which is the New Raspberry Pi has an 802.11n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It also has high-tech camera enhancements that were not on the original Zero. The new Zero makes a better computer because you most likely will not need a hub if you’re connected through Bluetooth.
There was an article on Electronics Weekly that talks about how Infineon is selling their 5th generation CoolSet in May. This fifth generation item is the stand alone quasi resonant flyback controller and integrated power IC CoolSET. The 700 V and 800 V CoolMOSP7 are integrated together into a single package. To understand more about the product, David Manners from Electronics Weekly talks more about the Infineon.
